How to Get Your Own Wiki
The Computer Science Department provides wikis to Computer Science faculty and students enrolled in Computer Science courses for projects and collaboration. To set up your own wiki and subversion repository, please email The CSL Wiki Team the following information. The more complete you make your request, the fewer silly questions we'll have to ask you. Someday we might get around to making a web based request form.
Faculty Sponsor:
Students are welcome to get their own individual or team wiki, but they need a faculty sponsor to provide them a little oversight. Please give us the unix user name of the faculty sponsor.
Long Text Name of Wiki:
This is the display name for your wiki. It will be the default name shown on wiki pages. For example, the CSL long text name is "Computer Science Laboratory Wiki".
Short Name of Wiki:
This name will be the directory name for your wiki and repository if requested. This is the suffix you'll add to the URL http://wiki.csc.calpoly.edu to get to your wiki. For example, the CSL wiki short name is csl, so we access our wiki at http://wiki.csc.calpoly.edu/csl, and our repository is at /svn/csl.
Anonymous Access: None Read-only (Pick One)
This wiki you are reading is read-only for anonymous users (no edit buttons at bottom of the page). Try going to the The CSL internal wiki if you want to see what a no access wiki looks like.
Primary Administrator Username:
Secondary Administrator Username:
Alternate Administrator Username:
The faculty sponsor is always an admin. If they want help administering the wiki, then additional admins can be specified here. Please give us the unix user name(s) of the additional admin(s). Admins are responsible for building and maintaining their wiki's user accounts, wiki passwords, etc. See Trac Admin Tasks.
